Explore Morningstar Engineering MIDI foot controllers, audio loop switchers and connection accessories at GSUS4. A MIDI controller sends instructions to compatible pedals, amp modellers or music software; it does not create effects or carry your guitar's audio signal. Start by deciding whether you need preset control, audio routing, or both.

The MC4 PRO, MC6 PRO and MC8 PRO give you four, six and eight footswitches respectively. Choose how many controls you want directly underfoot, then compare board space, displays and the connections your gear needs. DIN MIDI, TRS MIDI, USB host/device and wireless options differ by model. Our Morningstar controller guide explains these choices with example setups.

To include pedals without MIDI in preset-based switching, look at the audio loop switchers. The ML5R reorders five mono loops in series, while the ML10X uses five TRS send/return pairs for up to five stereo or ten mono loops and more flexible routing. Match the switcher to your mono or stereo signal path, and check each pedal's MIDI commands and connector wiring before choosing cables or adaptors.
