The Morningstar 3.5mm TRS to DIN5 MIDI adaptor connects a 3.5mm TRS male plug to a 5-pin DIN female socket. Its Type A wiring provides a compact way to adapt a suitable 5-pin MIDI cable for a device with a 3.5mm Type A MIDI connection.

The right-angle mini-jack helps route the connection around closely spaced pedalboard sockets. It is useful when your controller and effects use different MIDI connector sizes, without replacing the rest of your MIDI cable run.

Check the MIDI connection

Match the device's MIDI wiring standard as well as the plug size. A Type B, tip-active or ring-active connection may require a different adaptor or output setting. This adaptor changes the connection format; it does not add MIDI control to a device without MIDI.

For a Morningstar MC3 or MIDI Box setup, check the relevant output setting and the receiving device's MIDI requirements.
