Morningstar MIDI Breakout Adapter DIN5 MIDI Male to 1/4" TRS Female

The Morningstar DIN5 to 1/4-inch TRS MIDI adaptor has a 5-pin DIN male plug and a female 1/4-inch TRS socket. It uses Type A MIDI wiring and provides a compact way to join a suitable TRS cable to a compatible 5-pin DIN MIDI connection.

It is useful when a controller and the device it controls use different MIDI connector formats. Check which end of your cable run needs the DIN plug and which needs the TRS socket before choosing this adaptor.

Match the MIDI wiring

Confirm the receiving device's wiring standard and configure the controller's output where required. Type A is not interchangeable with every Type B, tip-active or ring-active implementation. The adaptor does not translate MIDI messages or add MIDI capability to an audio-only socket.
