Xotic integrated the iconic Plex-style preamp booster into a volume pedal. it’s incredibly intuitive — and expressive — to use. Its heavy-duty Boost momentary switch toggles between Boost and Bypass modes, the latter of which can be set to either true bypass or buffered bypass. The 2-band EQ, comprising Treble and Bass knobs, gives you plenty of fine-tuning tonal control — no fiddling with internal DIP switches required. And, of course, you get a Gain control, which provides you with up to 20dB of boost for adding volume or pushing your amp into overdrive. You get a treadle, bolstered by a smooth nylon pivot design, for expressive, real-time volume control with adjustable torque. Lastly, the EP-Pro comes housed in an aluminum chassis that’s both lightweight and rugged, making it as durable on the road as it is indispensable in your rig.
