The Vemuram Jan Ray is a highly responsive overdrive pedal designed to recreate the character of the legendary “Blackface” Fender amplifiers of the 1960s. Known for its natural compression, clarity and touch-sensitive response, the Jan Ray adds drive and harmonic richness while preserving the fundamental character of your guitar and amplifier.

Designed to feel more like a driven amplifier than a conventional overdrive pedal, the Jan Ray responds naturally to picking dynamics and changes in your guitar’s volume control. It can be used for subtle tonal enhancement and clean boost through to smooth, harmonically rich overdrive, making it equally effective as an always-on foundation or as a dedicated gain stage.

The straightforward Volume, Gain, Bass and Treble controls provide extensive adjustment for different guitars and amplifiers. An additional SAT trimmer allows the saturation and overall gain character to be fine-tuned, helping the Jan Ray integrate naturally into a wide variety of rigs.

With its open response, excellent note separation and dynamic feel, the Jan Ray has become one of Vemuram’s defining overdrive pedals for players looking for natural amp-like drive without sacrificing clarity.
