Slash is known for some of the best riffs, licks and solos in rock n’ roll. To replicate the ferocious tone he achieved on records for Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo albums, Slash and Seymour Duncan collaborated to develop his signature pickup sets: the Slash and Slash 2.0 Humbuckers. Historically, these pickups have been available in vintage specs – with long mounting legs, single conductor braided cable, and traditional humbucker spacing. Now, Seymour Duncan is also offering both models with some of our most popular modern options.

Slash’s signature humbucker set has been loved by fans and the 6-string king himself for over a decade. Since then, Slash has found a need for a hotter version of his pickups in live applications over the course of multiple world tours with Guns N’ Roses and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators.

When working on this new wind with Seymour Duncan, Slash’s goal for the team was to deliver the “same tonality, same great clarity…but hotter” than his APH-2s. The Slash 2.0 Set is based off his signature APH-2 pickups, now with a hotter wind that provides the familiar sound Slash loves while pushing his amps with the perfect balance of volume, drive, and compression.

The Slash 2.0 humbuckers are hand built in Santa Barbara the same way Seymour Duncan built his originals in the 80s, with a nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs, single conductor braided lead wire, maple spacer, paper tape, and wax potting.

Modern appointments on this pickup include the Short Ear (SE) mounting legs to fit in a wider variety of guitars and for direct mounting, and 4-Conductor cable for coil splitting, series/parallel wiring and phase switching. The LLT in the title stands for 'Longer Lead Time' meaning your pickups will made upon ordering, adding approximately 3-4 weeks to the standard order time.
