Rodenberg SL-OD DLX Drive is a premium dual-drive pedal designed in collaboration with Steve Lukather and legendary German builder Uli Rodenberg. Built to deliver Lukather’s signature gain stages in a compact, stage-ready unit, it provides everything from touch-sensitive breakup to thick, sustaining lead tones with outstanding clarity.

What makes the SL-OD DLX special is that it’s essentially two independent gain pedals in one enclosure - an overdrive channel and a distortion channel, each with its own full set of controls. This gives you a flexible “two-stage” drive setup that’s perfect for live players who need consistent rhythm and lead tones without stacking multiple pedals.

The Overdrive section is tuned for dynamic response and amp-like feel, with flexible gain options plus a FAT mode to thicken the sound when you need more body and punch. It sits beautifully in a mix and retains note definition even with higher gain settings, making it ideal for both bluesy breakup and modern rock rhythm tones.

The Distortion section offers more aggression and sustain, with a Tight option that sharpens the low end and increases attack - extremely useful for articulate lead playing or tighter riff tones. Together, the two channels cover a wide range of gain textures without getting harsh or fizzy.

For gigging practicality, the SL-OD DLX includes a Locked mode, making channel switching quick and intuitive during live sets. Combined with True Bypass switching and Rodenberg’s renowned build quality, this is a serious professional drive pedal designed to perform night after night.
