The 14” × 12” model (M1412–00) accommodates standard marching snare shells with internal dimensions of 17½” × 13”, providing clearance for hardware fixtures and snare mechanisms without compromising protection during transport and storage.

The case construction prioritises shell security and environmental sealing across parade routes, rehearsal spaces, and touring schedules. Internal dimensions exceed nominal drum sizes deliberately—the standard M1412–00 version offers 17½” × 13” of usable space, whilst the HTS variant (M1412–01) expands to 19½” × 15” internally for deeper shells or additional padding. This dimensional tolerance ensures hardware protrusions won't compress against case walls during transit or storage.
