Phil Jones Bass put a lot of research and development into the Double Four's cabinet design, which includes a custom Rectangular Auxiliary Low Frequency Radiator (RALFR) for maximum performance. This design leverages a pneumatically coupled radiator loaded to the rear of the Double Four's drivers that only responds to the lowest bass frequencies from 30–150Hz. This design also reduces cone excursion for extremely efficient power handling.
