Rather than dish out thousands for vintage originals, the Origin Effects BassRig ’64 Black Panel Bass Preamp Pedal makes it easy and affordable to incorporate the iconic sound of two Fender amps into any setup! This analog amp re-creation comes equipped with a wide array of tone-shaping controls, with standard bass, middle, and treble knobs accented with a surgically precise Amp Out EQ section to better match your amp and cab. Looking to go DI? The BassRig ’64 Black Panel has you covered with a dedicated DI section that sports a balanced XLR output to send your tone straight to a mixer or PA system — no amp or cabinet required! With its vintage sound and features optimized for today’s recording and playing demands, the Origin Effects BassRig ’64 Black Panel Bass Preamp Pedal is a worthy addition to any gigging bassist’s gear collection.
Legendary amp sounds at your feet
Throwing the BassRig ’64 Black Panel on your pedalboard is like adding two full-featured amps to your setup. With a flick of the BLK/TWD switch, you can go from the smooth, scooped sound of a Fender “Black Panel” circuit to the gritty, gainier feel of a “Tweed” amp. The tonal tweaking only starts here, as handy controls for setting the horn cut as well as LF and HF levels polish your overdriven sound while fine-tuning the lows and highs to match whatever amp and cab you’re running, respectively.
Send stage-worthy tone to the soundboard via balanced XLR
In the case of the BassRig ’64 Black Panel, its wide-ranging sound is complemented by an incredibly useful DI out section, tailoring this pedal to any live or studio situation that presents itself. When wired in via the BassRig ’64 Black Panel’s balanced XLR output, you gain access to a spot-on simulation of a 2 x 15-inch bass cabinet, channeling stage-approved sound with a single pedal. Origin Effects sweetened the pot with a DI cab sim switch — this two-position switch kicks on the cab simulation when the pedal is engaged when in FX mode, with FX+BYP mode keeping the cab sim always active.
