Ernie Ball Mighty Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings use a 8.5–40 gauge combination. Slinky Nickel Wound strings pair nickel-plated steel winding with tin-plated hexagonal steel cores for a balanced electric-guitar voice. The plain strings use specially tempered, tin-plated high-carbon steel to complement the wound strings across the set.
Mighty Slinky sits between the Extra and Super combinations, pairing a .0085-inch top string with a .040-inch low string for a light playing feel. The pack supplies three complete sets with the same gauge sequence and nickel-wound construction.
