Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound 8-String Electric Guitar Strings use a 10–74 gauge combination. Slinky Nickel Wound strings pair nickel-plated steel winding with tin-plated hexagonal steel cores for a balanced electric-guitar voice. The plain strings use specially tempered, tin-plated high-carbon steel to complement the wound strings across the set.
This eight-string set is optimised for longer-scale and multiscale instruments. Every string measures 39.5 inches in length, with the .074-inch string tapered at 37 inches, providing clear fit information for an extended-range setup.
