The EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) HalfLife is the most compact, pedalboard-friendly version of the legendary Sunn O))) Life Pedal circuit to date. Built for massive saturation, octave-fuzz chaos and amp-pushing boost, it delivers the crushing front-end tone inspired by Sunn O)))’s Life Metal era in a smaller, easier-to-fit enclosure.

HalfLife combines three stages in one heavy-duty pedal: an analog octave-up circuit, a brutal “White Face” style distortion section, and a clean MOSFET boost designed to slam the front end of your amp. The result is thick, compressed, harmonically rich distortion that can move from tight grind to full-on Super Fuzz-style chaos.

The three-way clipping switch gives you OpAmp, Asymmetrical and Symmetrical clipping options, letting you choose between open, aggressive drive, smoother valve-like crunch, or classic compressed distortion. The octave circuit is blendable and can also be controlled via expression pedal for hands-free octave swells and dramatic texture changes.

Perfect for doom, sludge, drone, noise, stoner rock, heavy riffing and experimental bass or guitar tones, HalfLife is half the size, but every bit as heavy.
