The Asheville Music Tools ACV-NOS Time Warping Chorus & Vibrato is a limited small-batch edition of the Analoger™ ACV-1, built around a hand-selected New Old Stock Matsushita Panasonic BBD chip. It keeps the fully analog architecture and deep modulation control of the ACV-1, but adds a more distinctive tonal character with smoother presence, richer low-end response, and a subtly refined high end.
Compared with the standard reissue XVive BBD version, the NOS BBD brings subtle but noticeable differences in headroom, harmonic response, distortion behaviour, and noise profile. The result is an analog chorus and vibrato pedal with less smearing, clearer midrange detail, and an almost dithered top end that feels musical, natural, and highly responsive under the fingers.
The ACV-NOS is far more than a traditional chorus pedal. With its modulated BBD delay line, flexible Time control, Feedback with phase options, wide-ranging LFO, full wet/dry Mix control, and assignable expression/CV input, it can move from lush vintage chorus and true pitch vibrato to flanging textures, slapback, metallic resonant tones, faux reverb, rhythmic glitches, and full time-warping analog modulation.
For this NOS edition, Asheville Music Tools has expanded the delay time into the aliased ring-mod zone, increased the modulation range, re-voiced the filters for enhanced midrange clarity and bass presence, and finished each pedal in a gloss mauve powder coat with gold-gloss sparkle and solid aluminium GØRVA knobs. Each unit has its own subtle variation, making every ACV-NOS a unique analog modulation instrument.
This is a limited-run release, produced only in small batches while NOS BBD supply lasts. More units are expected in May 2026.
