The Klotz AY9-0200 stereo mini-jack to XLR Y cable splits a stereo mini-jack source into separate left and right XLR connections. It is designed for routing compatible unbalanced stereo source signals to equipment that accepts those signals through its XLR inputs. This 2 m version uses one straight 3.5 mm TRS plug to two male three-pin XLR connectors.

The two signal paths use PCU201-Z twin cable with a PVC jacket and gold-plated contacts. The Y connection separates the stereo channels; it does not turn the source into a balanced microphone signal.
