What's New with Shure SLX-D+ (PLUS) Compared to SLX-D?
Expanded Frequency Coverage – One Band, More Cities!
The Australian H58 band (520–606 MHz) offers an expanded 86 MHz tuning range, providing greater frequency flexibility across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Darwin. A single H58 band version can be used across these cities, subject to local frequency availability and RF conditions—ideal for touring musicians, churches and AV professionals.
Check local frequency availability: Jands Wireless Frequency Calculator.
Other Key Improvements
- ShowLink® Ease – Remote transmitter control and automatic frequency changes.
- Digital Feedback Reduction (DFR) – Built-in feedback suppression on compatible receivers.
- AES-256 Encryption – Secure wireless transmission.
- Wireless Workbench Mobile – Convenient monitoring and control via supported Bluetooth-enabled receivers.
- Lower Latency – Reduced from 3.2 ms to 2.8 ms.
- 24-bit Digital Audio – Professional audio quality and reliable RF performance.
Available frequencies vary by location. Check local RF conditions before use. Some functions require a compatible SLX-D+ receiver.
Will the New SLX-D+ H58 Work with Existing H57 and J54 Units?
Yes. Australian SLX-D+ H58 components are compatible with original SLX-D H57 and J54 equipment, allowing you to upgrade gradually. Update all devices to the latest compatible firmware before pairing.
- Existing H57 or J54 transmitter + new H58 receiver: Select the matching band under Device Configuration > RF > RF Band, then IR-sync. All channels on that receiver use the selected band; H57 and J54 transmitters need separate receivers for simultaneous use.
- New H58 transmitter + existing H57 or J54 receiver: IR-sync within the receiver's supported frequency range.
- Complete old and new systems together: Coordinate compatible frequencies across every active channel, with one active transmitter per receiver channel.
Mixed-generation links do not provide ShowLink® Ease. AES-256 encryption requires SLX-D+ equipment at both ends, and legacy receivers do not gain SLX-D+ feedback reduction. Full functionality requires compatible SLX-D+ transmitters and receivers.
