The Warm Audio DIA2 is a transformer–balanced active direct box engineered to convert high–impedance instrument signals from guitar, bass, keyboards and other ¼" sources into low–impedance XLR outputs suitable for mixing consoles and audio interfaces. Warm Audio's design philosophy emphasises transparent signal conditioning without colouration, making the DIA2 a straightforward tool for live and studio applications where impedance matching and signal integrity matter.

The unit features an integral transformer on the balanced output, which handles the impedance conversion and provides galvanic isolation from downstream equipment. Two instrument channels allow simultaneous connection of separate sources, each with independent level control and ground lift switches to eliminate hum loops common in multi–source setups. The active circuitry draws power from a standard 48V phantom supply via XLR, eliminating external power supplies, whilst rugged metal construction and clearly labelled I/O keep setup and troubleshooting straightforward in both mobile and permanent installations.

Features
  • Two independent ¼" instrument inputs with active buffering and impedance conversion
  • Transformer–balanced XLR outputs with galvanic isolation per channel
  • Individual level controls and ground lift switches on each channel
  • 48V phantom power operation; no external PSU required
  • Compact metal enclosure designed for rack mounting or portable use
  • High–impedance to low–impedance matching for mixer and interface compatibility
  • Suitable for guitar, bass, keyboards, synthesisers and active instruments
  • Direct connection eliminates buffering bottlenecks in signal chain
