The Drawmer CMC3 Compact Monitor Controller brings together the key strengths of Drawmer’s most popular monitor controllers in a compact, low-profile desktop format. It retains the accurate and transparent audio quality associated with the MC2.1, the precision and control of the MC3.1, and the practical footprint of the CMC2, making it equally suitable for serious home studios and professional recording facilities.
At the heart of the CMC3 is Drawmer’s commitment to honest monitoring. A monitor controller should not colour, warm, brighten or “improve” the signal - it should allow you to hear exactly what has been recorded. The CMC3 uses an active circuit design to avoid many of the limitations of passive controllers, delivering reliable level control and transparent audio performance for critical mix decisions.
The CMC3 supports three sets of stereo monitors plus a dedicated mono speaker or subwoofer output, allowing flexible A/B comparison and practical multi-speaker monitoring. Its smooth main volume control uses a custom quad pot for excellent channel matching, while the front-panel preset volume control allows repeatable calibrated monitoring levels at the flick of a switch.
Connectivity is comprehensive, with four stereo inputs including SPDIF digital input up to 24-bit/192kHz, two balanced stereo jack inputs, and a 3.5mm input with variable level control for smartphones or portable playback devices. Two professional headphone outputs are included, each with dedicated amplification and level control, along with talkback using either the internal or an external microphone.
For mix checking, the CMC3 includes essential tools such as dim, mono, phase reverse, left cut, right cut and mute. Housed in a rugged all-steel enclosure with a Kensington security slot, it is a compact, accurate and highly capable monitoring hub designed for everyday studio use.
