The Vemuram SHANKS ODS-1 is a special overdrive pedal developed in collaboration with Grammy-winning producer and guitarist John Shanks. Designed as an easy-to-handle, highly versatile overdrive, it offers a wide tonal range while maintaining a transparent and natural response.

The ODS-1 features straightforward Level, Gain and Tone controls, complemented by two dedicated trimmers for Bass and Saturation. These additional controls allow you to fine-tune the low-end response and overall saturation, giving the pedal considerably more flexibility when matching different guitars, amplifiers and playing styles.

According to John Shanks, the ODS-1 was developed through extensive prototyping with Vemuram to find the ideal balance between overdrive and distortion. Its range extends from a mild push for adding character to an amplifier through to a fuller drive sound suitable for lead work, while retaining the clarity and dynamics required for both studio and stage use.

Built with Vemuram’s distinctive construction and attention to detail, the SHANKS ODS-1 is designed as a versatile drive pedal for players who want transparent gain with extensive control over its tonal character.
