Designed with an authentic vacuum tube amplification circuit and active 3-band EQ, it delivers the kind of tone and sound pressure that far exceeds its small footprint.

At the heart of the Royal Oldies is a preamp circuit inspired by the second channel of the iconic Ampeg vintage SVT. This design provides the unmistakable warmth and grit of true vacuum tube saturation, ideal for players who want to capture the essence of big amps without hauling heavy gear.

Unlike traditional passive EQs, the Royal Oldies employs a carefully voiced active EQ for superior tonal flexibility. The Treble circuit centres around 2.8kHz for clarity without losing analogue richness, while the Bass control replicates the SVT’s Ultra Lo when pushed to its maximum. The Midrange can be toggled between 400Hz and 800Hz, allowing you to fine-tune your presence in the mix with ease.

To ensure the tube operates at its full potential, the pedal’s 12VDC input is internally boosted to over 250V, properly driving the included JJ 12AX7 valve.
