If you’re working in high-channel-count studio recording, professional live sound, or broadcast, the SSL UMD192 Studio is a serious “one box” solution for modern digital audio workflows. It’s a compact ½RU interface that bridges USB 3.0, MADI (BNC) and Dante AoIP seamlessly - giving you massive channel capacity, flexible routing, and rock-solid performance in a portable format.

At its core, the UMD192 delivers up to 192 channels of USB audio at 44.1/48kHz and 88.2/96kHz, and 128 channels at 176.4/192kHz, making it ideal for high-spec rigs where I/O count and stability matter. Whether you’re capturing a festival stage, integrating into a broadcast system, or building a hybrid studio with digital stageboxes, it keeps everything connected and clocked correctly.

On the MADI side, you get 6x MADI BNC pairs, and importantly, it supports redundant mode for 3x dual-redundant MADI connections - perfect for mission-critical setups where uptime is non-negotiable.

On the network side, UMD192 provides fully interoperable Dante AoIP, with support for AES67 and ST 2110 (with DDM), plus ultra-low Dante latency down to 0.25ms. This makes it a strong backbone for modern networked audio environments.

Designed for real-world workflows, it offers flexible clocking from MADI or Dante, and can be powered via AC mains, PoE, or even USB (with options for redundancy). In short: it’s built like a professional utility tool - but with SSL engineering quality.
