The Shure SLXD1+ is the next-generation SLX-D+ digital wireless bodypack transmitter, combining the proven 24-bit digital audio quality and RF reliability of the original SLX-D platform with a significantly expanded tuning range and smarter wireless management.
For Australia and New Zealand, the new H58 band covers 520–608 MHz, providing substantially more frequency flexibility than the previous H57 band (520–564 MHz). This wider operating range makes it easier to find clean frequencies in challenging RF environments and allows a single H58 system to cover frequencies previously spread across multiple narrower bands.
Importantly for existing SLX-D users, SLX-D+ maintains backwards compatibility with legacy SLX-D equipment. The Australian/New Zealand H58 band is compatible with legacy H57 (520–564 MHz) and J54 (562–606 MHz) SLX-D bands when operating within their corresponding frequency ranges. This makes SLX-D+ an excellent upgrade path for venues and users with existing SLX-D H57 systems.
Compared with the original SLX-D, SLX-D+ also introduces ShowLink® Ease remote transmitter management, AES-256 encryption, improved 2.8 ms latency, Wireless Workbench Mobile control via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, automated RF management, and Digital Feedback Reduction when used with compatible SLX-D+ receivers.
• H58 frequency range: 520–608 MHz
• Compatible with legacy SLX-D H57 and J54 bands within their supported frequency ranges
• Wider tuning range than the original H57 520–564 MHz system
• Transparent 24-bit digital audio with >118 dB dynamic range
• Improved 2.8 ms system latency
• ShowLink® Ease remote transmitter management with SLX-D+ receivers
• Automatic RF setup and interference management
• AES-256 encryption
• Wireless Workbench desktop and WWB Mobile support
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth remote monitoring with compatible SLX-D+ receivers
• Uses 2 x AA batteries or optional Shure SB903 rechargeable battery
• Ideal upgrade or expansion option for existing Australian SLX-D installations
SLX-D vs SLX-D+ – What’s New?
SLX-D+ retains the same transparent 24-bit digital audio quality and >118 dB dynamic range that made the original SLX-D popular, but introduces major improvements to RF flexibility, system management and security.
The biggest change is the expanded wide tuning range. Original SLX-D systems offered up to 44 MHz of tuning bandwidth, while SLX-D+ supports up to 138 MHz depending on region. In Australia and New Zealand, the H58 band provides a wide 520–606 MHz operating range.
SLX-D+ also introduces ShowLink® Ease, providing a dedicated two-way control connection between compatible SLX-D+ receivers and transmitters. This allows transmitter parameters such as frequency, RF power and control lock to be adjusted remotely from the receiver. The system can also detect RF interference, scan for a cleaner frequency and deploy the new frequency to the linked transmitter automatically.
Other major SLX-D+ upgrades include AES-256 encryption, Shure Digital Feedback Reduction, Bluetooth connectivity for Wireless Workbench Mobile, and reduced system latency of 2.8 ms compared with 3.2 ms on the original SLX-D.
