The Valve Crystal Black Top- 12AX7 Tube Preamp is a high-quality preamp designed to deliver a clear, transparent tone and excellent gain characteristics. It is made with premium materials and built to exacting standards.
The Valve Crystal is designed with an amplifier-like circuit, inspired by John Mayer's signature sound, the clean channel of the legendary DUMBLE amplifier. It delivers a gorgeous clean sound and can be combined with a TS type overdrive for the desired Dumble tone and SRV sound.
The vacuum tube used is 12AX7 from JJ Electronics and DALE for the orange drop and plate register. Three types of tone controls and vacuum tube amplification provide the premium natural sound.
It is recommended for both the input of the amplifier and the return plug of the studio amplifier. Connecting to a power amplifier that uses a 6L6 vacuum tube will provide better results. It is also great for recording at home to avoid digital feel of line connections.
