The Gig-Charge 5 features five fully isolated outputs powered by separate transformers, ensuring clean and reliable power for your pedals. It offers three 9V 500mA outputs, one selectable output (9V 1,000mA or 12V 800mA), and another selectable output (9V 500mA or 18V 500mA). Each output is equipped with an LED indicator, providing clear visibility on power status.

Designed with an LFP battery, the Gig-Charge 5 includes a charging LED to indicate the battery’s charging status. The power switch features a Battery Status/Power LED, and each output can be enabled or disabled individually to conserve battery life for unused connections.

Additionally, the Gig-Charge 5 is equipped with a 15W USB charging port (5A/3A) for convenient phone or tablet charging, making it a versatile and efficient tool for both pedalboards and mobile devices.

PROTECTION CIRCUITS AND LFP BATTERY SAFETY

The Gig-Charge 5 utilises the same Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and protection/charging circuits as A6-55 since 2018.  LFP batteries are “NOT” the same type as Lithium Ion (Li+) or Lithium Polymer Batteries (LiPO or Li-Poly).

We selected Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) type of batteries for it’s advantages in safety properties and long service life. LFP is thermally and chemically stable, reliable without the possibility of lithium fires.

LFP batteries have long service life, with a shelf life that far exceeds the service life of many other batteries.  Not only we enclosed the Batteries in a metal cage, we added many Battery Protection circuits – Over Voltage protection, Thermal Shutdown, Over Charge protection, Over Drain protection. The LFP batteries are used in our products are UL safety approved and MSDS certified.
