The ZVEX DB-1 is a unique utility pedal designed to visually monitor your guitar signal without changing your tone. Featuring an ultra-high 10MΩ input impedance and a completely analog meter circuit, it can be placed anywhere in your signal chain to provide real-time signal level feedback while remaining sonically transparent. 

Unlike a traditional buffer or boost, the DB-1 is purpose-built as an always-on monitoring tool. The vintage-inspired analog VU meter lets you instantly confirm signal presence and relative level, making it especially useful for touring musicians, large pedalboards, silent troubleshooting, and quick stage checks before a performance. 

A single Input Sensitivity control allows the meter to be calibrated for different pickup outputs and pedalboard configurations. The circuit is bidirectional, meaning the input and output jacks can be swapped without affecting operation, providing maximum flexibility when integrating it into your rig.
