The Gamechanger Audio MOTOR Synth MKII is one of the world’s most innovative synthesizers, generating sound using eight custom-built electric motors instead of traditional analog oscillators or digital synthesis. By precisely controlling the rotational speed of each motor and capturing both optical and electromagnetic waveforms, the MOTOR Synth creates an unmistakable electro-mechanical sound that sits somewhere between vintage tonewheel instruments, analog synthesizers and entirely new sonic territory. 

The MKII builds upon the original design with two independent MOTOR voices, each featuring its own amplifier envelope, pitch envelope and analog multimode filter. A dedicated digital oscillator (DCO) further expands the sonic palette, while an advanced modulation matrix, motion recording, arpeggiator and sequencer provide extensive sound design and performance possibilities. Whether you’re creating evolving pads, industrial basslines, cinematic textures or experimental sequences, the MOTOR Synth MKII delivers sounds unlike any conventional synthesizer. 

Connectivity has also been significantly expanded with MIDI, USB and CV integration, allowing the MOTOR Synth MKII to become the centrepiece of both studio and modular workflows. External audio processing includes vocoder functions, sidechain-style dynamics, envelope following, filtering and gate processing, making it much more than a standalone synthesizer. Its fully analog signal path after sound generation preserves the raw character of the motor oscillators while providing modern flexibility.
