The Gold Kyser Short Cut is a partial capo for exploring open-string drones and alternative chord textures on guitar. It covers three strings, letting you combine capoed notes with ringing open strings without retuning the instrument.
One useful starting point is the second fret across strings five, four and three, which creates a DADGAD-like relationship between the open notes. The Quick-Change trigger makes it easy to move the capo as you experiment. It can also be combined with a separate full capo to move the same approach into another key.
