The Sterling by Music Man Axis AX50QM in Honey Pot pairs a quilted maple veneer top with a poplar body and roasted maple neck. Its roasted maple fingerboard carries 22 narrow frets across a 25.5-inch scale, bringing a straightforward playing layout to the compact Axis design.
Two Alnico humbuckers feed a three-way pickup selector and a single volume control, keeping pickup changes and level adjustments close at hand. The Floyd Rose-style tremolo provides the pitch-control side of the guitar, while the five-bolt neck attachment and dual-action truss rod form the basis of its neck construction.
