Protection Racket's AAA 16x14” RIMS Rigid Tom Case represents the current standard in drum transit protection, combining polycarbonate frame construction with advanced Rocket Foam™ technology. The case accommodates drums up to 16” x 14” shell diameter, with internal dimensions of 19” x 15” to accommodate hardware and bearing edges. This design philosophy prioritises impact resistance and weight efficiency for touring and session musicians.

The Triple A-Plex™ polycarbonate frame forms the structural core, engineered from strong, lightweight polymers that deliver exceptional resistance to shock and compression. The case features a 6” x 4” clear window pocket for quick visual identification, neoprene ergonomic handle for extended carrying comfort, and plastic piping edge reinforcement at stress points. Internal configuration accommodates RIMS mounting hardware without modification, whilst the outer shell tolerates the inevitable road wear—dents, spills, and drops—that touring drums encounter.

The 19” x 15” interior volume provides roughly 3” of clearance beyond the shell diameter, allowing safe packing around tom mounts and lugs. Neoprene handles distribute load evenly across the hand during transport, reducing fatigue on longer hauls. This case suits mid-to-large tom configurations in both rock and jazz touring rigs, where durability and quick access outweigh lightness considerations.
