Protection Racket's 36" Gong Case (model 7279–49) represents the manufacturer's proven approach to cymbal transport–built to the same exacting specifications as their Proline drum cases, but purpose–designed for large diameter gongs. The case features internal dimensions of 37.5" × 3.5", accommodating the shell plus hardware fixtures and fittings. Fully adjustable, padded ergonomic rucksack straps distinguish this case from fixed–handle alternatives, making extended carries and stair navigation considerably more practical for touring musicians.

Construction mirrors Protection Racket's rigid case engineering, with reinforced walls and protective interior padding to isolate the gong from impact damage during transport. The 3.5" internal depth provides clearance for mounting hardware and felts, whilst the 37.5" width ensures secure fitment without forcing or compression. This design philosophy extends across Protection Racket's full gong case lineup, from 20" through 50" sizes, each scaled proportionally to keep hardware and instrument shell fully protected.
