The 14” × 16” RIMS variant (model 2015R–00) accommodates floor toms fitted with any style of RIMS suspension hardware, delivering internal dimensions of 18” × 17” to house both shell and mounting apparatus. The RIMS designation signals that the case interior is tailored specifically for drums without legs–a critical distinction from standard floor tom cases.

The case requires removal of all three legs prior to loading, a straightforward operation that opens access to the drum's full profile. Internal dimensions of 18” × 17” exceed the 14” × 16” shell measurement to accommodate suspension brackets and tom hardware fittings. Protection Racket's construction philosophy centres the case around the drum's actual footprint when stripped of legs, eliminating wasted space whilst ensuring secure transit. Hardware cases sold separately provide dedicated storage for legs and other detached components.
