The RIMS designation (model 2014R–00) specifies internal dimensions of 18" × 15", providing clearance for suspension hardware that standard cases cannot accommodate. Protection Racket's rigid construction approach prioritises durability over portability, making the case suitable for session work, touring, and permanent storage alike.

The case's internal geometry allows for removal of all three legs, enabling secure fit without compression of bearing edges or tom hardware. Internal dimensions exceed shell dimensions by several inches across both planes, accommodating tom mount brackets, bearing hardware, and padding without compromise. The RIMS variant offers roughly 1" additional width compared to the standard 2014–00 model, a critical margin when suspension systems protrude from the drum's perimeter. Rigid shell construction protects against crushing during stacking and transport.
