This passive breakout features a female XLR fan-out designed to accept signals from microphones, instruments, or DI boxes, consolidating four balanced channels into a single lightweight network cable. The galvanised steel housing withstands impact and crushing forces, while a locking RJ45 Ethercon-compatible connector prevents accidental disconnection during transport or installation.

Operating entirely in the analog domain, the DFX-345F requires no external power, produces zero latency, and introduces no digital conversion artifacts. The integrated breakout whip terminates in four 3-pin female XLR connectors, eliminating the need for additional patch cables and reducing connection points that degrade signal integrity. Transmission occurs over shielded Cat5e, Cat6, or Cat7 cable (STP/FTP specification), with copper conductors carrying balanced audio or AES3 signals transparently across extended distances. The locking RJ45 chassis is compatible with both Ethercon and Hosa EtherLok systems.
