Slinky Cobalt Flatwound strings combine a smooth flatwound surface with the lively tonal character associated with Slinky strings. They are designed for players who want less finger noise without giving up a more open electric-guitar response.
The wound strings use Ernie Ball’s patented cobalt-alloy ribbon. This construction brings the feel of a flatwound set to the selected gauge combination, making it possible to explore a different surface texture while retaining familiar string weights.
