Ernie Ball Zippy Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings use a 7–36 gauge combination. Slinky Nickel Wound strings pair nickel-plated steel winding with tin-plated hexagonal steel cores for a balanced electric-guitar voice. The plain strings use specially tempered, tin-plated high-carbon steel to complement the wound strings across the set.
Zippy is the lightest gauge combination offered by Ernie Ball, designed for very low tension and easy bends. Its .007-inch top string and .036-inch low string define a particularly light feel across the six-string set.
