Behringer WING Dante Expansion Card for 64x64 Audinate Dante AoIP Networking
The Behringer WING–Dante expansion card transforms the WING mixing console into a networked audio hub, leveraging Audinate's Dante Audio over IP (AoIP) protocol. This 64–channel interface operates at 48 kHz in both directions, integrating seamlessly with existing Dante–enabled networks whilst maintaining AES67 compliance for broader device interoperability. The card runs on standard 100 Mbit/s or Gigabit infrastructure with DSCP–based Quality of Service, enabling multiple sample rates and bit depths to coexist on a single network without compromising audio integrity.
Signal transmission uses 24–bit depth with sample–accurate synchronisation and negligible latency, critical for live mixing and studio tracking where timing precision matters. The dual input design—primary and secondary network connections—facilitates redundant pathways, preventing dropouts during critical performances. Configuration and routing control flows through the Audinate Dante Controller application, which manages signal distribution across all Dante–enabled devices on the network. Mixed sample rates and bit depths coexist without degradation, freeing engineers to work with diverse audio sources simultaneously without format conversion overhead.
