Z simply stands for impedance. This is to adjust the input impedance and can be adjusted to the base-specific impedance such as passive bass and active bass, as well as a control knob to fine-tune the low-end response. With the Z knob, the input impedance can be operated in the range of 50K to 390KΩ.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe effect of the Z-knob depends on the impedance of the instrument you connect to.
