Originally created around the recording and release of the band’s 2020 album \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eLament\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e, the Limelight was designed to capture the bright, articulate and aggressive guitar tones of Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThe drive circuit takes inspiration from the classic “breaker” family of overdrives, but EAE significantly reworked the architecture to provide greater articulation and a much wider gain range. At lower settings it delivers clear, chiming breakup with excellent note definition, while increasing the Gain introduces a natural midrange push and enough saturation to move well beyond conventional low-gain overdrive territory. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eA dedicated Focus control provides a variable low-cut within the drive circuit, letting you adjust the pedal’s chime, low-end response and midrange presence. Combined with the Tone control, this makes the Limelight particularly effective for tightening up darker amplifiers, creating cutting rhythm tones or maintaining clarity when stacking it with other gain pedals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThe independent Boost channel provides up to 21dB of clean gain and can be used separately to add power and presence to a clean sound, or combined with the drive channel to push the Limelight into heavier distortion.
