Let’s just say that their prices aren’t so \u003ci class=\"\"\u003eHumble\u003c\/i\u003e…and that’s where this D-Style FET Preamp comes into the picture! Some of those amps have a FET and a Normal input. The FET input is truly special. There’s a FET based preamp between the guitar, and the first gain stage. The Special Request is based on that circuitry.  It features an internal voltage doubler, that pushes 9 volts to 18 volts, and should only be used with a 9 volt battery, or a 9 volt power supply.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"\"\u003e\n\u003cspan class=\"\"\u003eDon’t let the single knob fool you—there’s more than meets the eye here. This pedal gives you a boost, but it also does a lot more.
