Through all that, we’ve discovered two inherent problems in a typical 10-46 “Light” set: there are big dips in tension on both the 2\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003end\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand 6\u003csup data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eth\u003c\/sup\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003estrings (.013 and .046, respectively). So, with our\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eBalanced Lights\u003c\/em\u003e, we fix all that by using a .0135 and a .048 instead.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe result is a set of strings that plays evenly across the entire fretboard and intonates better.
